The Ajax-Pickering Board of Trade acknowledged four local businesses and one individual for their professional achievements at the 14th annual Business Excellence and Business Person of the Year Awards gala on October 16, at Deer Creek Golf & Banquet Facility. “Our warmest congratulations and continued success to all of the nominees and category winners,” said Don Terry, president of the Ajax-Pickering Board of Trade.
Recipients of this year's awards included WordSmith Media in the 1-9 employee category; Co-recipients: Hilton Garden Inn and Target Recycling Services Inc. in the 10-49 employee category and Deer Creek Golf & Banquet Facility in the 50+ employee category. Anna Diduca of Neighbours in Pickering was recognized as Business Person of the Year.
