2008 November > Ajax Creative Arts Fall Show&Sale

For over 40 years a group of local artists called Ajax Creative Arts has been mastering the world of art and sharing it with the community. Last month the club held their weekend long, fall showcase at the Village Community Center on Sherwood Road in the heart of Pickering Village. There was an immense variety of work for sale, everything from watercolor scenes to abstract and oil paintings. It was all made possible by the show conveners Kim McCann and Maggie Burgess, who are also artist themselves. McCann said artists can join their club and enjoy the many advantages of being a member, such as weekend workshops and the opportunity to display and sell their art in the shows. The next show will be held sometime in the spring, bringing with it a new selection of paintings.
