2008 November > Wishmaker Parade
Wishes can come true. Last month on October 18, members of the community gathered for the annual Wishmaker Parade marching down Bayly Street and Harwood Avenue in Ajax. The people in the parade were walking to make wishes come true; wishes of children who suffer from high risk and life-threatening illnesses. Individuals, families, community groups and corporate groups all collect pledges to walk in the parade with 100 per cent of the money raised going to The Children's Wish Foundation. The Wishmaker Parade takes place nationally every year, with volunteers and pledge walkers alike dedicated to making wishes come true.
