2008 November > Fall Family Festival at Pickering Museum Village
SNAP dropped by the Pickering Museum Village last month for their annual Fall Family Festival. It was a fabulous day for the whole family and the weather held out nicely for all to enjoy History In Action. The quaint pioneer village was bustling with activity as people wandered through the fifteen restored heritage buildings, including a blacksmith and wood shop, general store, school house, houses barns and churches. While walking through the village, the angelic sounds of Eastside Harmony could be heard coming from the 1853 church and people were drawn to it where many took seats in the pews to listen. The fundraising event included music, children's activities, wagon rides, an 18th century period fashion show and so much more.
