Ajax High School Math Olympics
The Ajax High School Math Club Committee of Aicha Raeburn-Cherradi, Ivan Damnjanovic, Nash Annan, Ben Draskovi, Kyle Leng, Nadia Raeburn-Cherradi, Amy, Genevieve Belcar, Kalenna Olynyk, Morgan Bates, Saira Chcriyan, Jen Hall, Carolyn Gummer and all of the club members with their supervisor Ms.Fu organized the First Ajax H.S. Math Olympic competition. 1600 students from the school participated.
100 finalists competed in 4 categories that included, integers and fractions, geometry, word problems and a bridge building competition. The 2009 Math Olympic Gold Medal Winners were David Marchione (grade 9); Nicholas Houston (grade 10); Jeirdan Williams (grade 11) and Hank Zheng (grade 12).
